Mr. Schroeder offers clients both a unique and extensive blend of expertise and experience in the treatment of psychiatric and substance abuse issues. He has been in professional practice for over 32 years and has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including inpatient, day treatment, and outpatient programs.
He spent most of the first nine years of his career serving as a staff psychotherapist at Rapha Treatment Centers, a national leader in Christian inpatient psychiatric and substance abuse treatment in the 1990's. There he provided individual, family, and group psychotherapy as well as case management services. Though already maintaining a small part-time practice for several years, he transitioned into full-time private practice in 1997.
Mr. Schroeder also offers specialized coaching services for persons not specifically seeking psychotherapy. He is a Certified Money Habitudes Coach, helping individuals and couples understand their attitudes and habits about money and the impact on their lives and relationships. As a registered Singles Coach through the Relationship Coaching Institute, he assists singles in understanding the pitfalls and "blindspots" in their dating practices, so that they may become more proactive and informed in the pre-commitment
stage of their relationships.
Additionally, Mr. Schroeder is a facilitator for Couple Communication workshops and is a popular speaker to churches,
businesses, and schools. He is listed in the Nationwide Register's Who's Who in Executives and Businesses and has been a frequent radio guest addressing mental health issues. He is the author of numerous articles and columns on counseling and the family. Mr. Schroeder is also a contributing author to the anthology, "The Game Changer”, an Amazon Bestseller. Possessing a warm, engaging, and humorous style, he quickly puts clients at ease from the beginning of their therapeutic relationship.
Dale and his family are very active in their local church. He has served in such capacities as a Bible study teacher, “Search for Significance" group facilitator, Point Person, Deacon, and Elder. Other passions include writing, music, and sports. He is the father of two adult children...both engineers! He proudly denounces any genetic contribution to any mathematics or physics abilities and instead, credits their brilliant mother. Dale resides with his lovely wife of over 35 years in San Antonio.
